HOW TO APPLY

Your application to MBSC should include:

• Professional Resume
• One required Personal Statement
• Two recommendation, one from a former faculty member and one from your present employer or previous, an evaluation to be sent from MBSC Admissions Office
• Transcript(s)
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Any other relevant documents indicated in the application form
• Receipt for non-refundable application processing fee of 1,000.

In addition, the following are strongly recommended, but not required:

• GMAT 550 or higher (highly desirable and recommended for a Merit Scholarship) – Executive Assessment 150 or higher

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a substantial quantitative component, such as one in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or business.

Do you require work experience?

All Master in Finance applicants do not require work experience.

Who should I ask to provide my letters of recommendation?

You should seek recommendations from two people capable of commenting on your academic, ambitions, and intellectual capabilities. The most useful evaluations are from people who are able to testify to your professional and leadership skills. Examples include a former faculty member or an employer If you are currently employed we recommend that one of your recommendations come from your direct supervisor.

Will my recommenders need to submit a paper form or answer questions online?

When completing your online application, you will be prompted to provide contact information for your referees. He or she will be contacted via email and invited to submit recommendations in a format that we will email directly to him/her.

How many recommendations must I submit?

You are required to submit two, with at least one from each of the two categories a) a former faculty member or direct supervisor, and b) other influential member of your network.

Will I need to take an English language exam?

All applicants to the MBSC MiF program must demonstrate proficiency in the English language via an English Language Proficiency Exam (TOEFL or IELTS Academic), except for candidates who have earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States..

Do I need to submit transcripts from every college or university I attended?

Yes, we require all of your transcripts. When completing your online application, you will be prompted to upload unofficial copies of your transcript(s). If you are offered admission, you will be required to submit official attested copies of your transcript(s). Offers of admission are not binding until we verify your official academic records and test scores.

Do I need to convert my GPA into a 4.0 system?

Students reporting grades from institutions that do not evaluate academic performance on a 4.0 GPA scale should NOT convert their scores to a GPA. Report your scores or grades as your university lists them in your official transcripts. Keep in mind that we are familiar with international grading methods and will evaluate your grades accordingly.
